Mountain oysters do taste very good.

One time a lady asked my sister, "What do mountain oysters taste like?"

My sister replied, "Ketchup." :)

Don't forget. Practice safe eating; always use condiments. :)

Cold tongue- hot tongue- boiled tongue- baked tongue- pickled tongue -- any way I've tried it I thought it was good...

One thing I couldn't bring myself to try is beef brains and scrambled eggs...A couple of restaurants in Western Montana ( I believe they were in Missoula and Butte) used to feature that as their specialty before BSE made it impossible........

Lamb is good and they aren't soo cute when they get to 120-175 pounds and are ready to go. And nothing is more head pounding loud than walking into a lambing jug at 3 am when there are 100 lambs in there.. My best day of the year is when we ship the lambs out..

When I started raising cattle I was with the guy who was running this farm at the time. He was calving out heifers in the barn over here and we walked and looked at a couple of the newbords. This fella has been raising calves since he was in diapers and he was maybe 55 when I had this conversation with him. He knelt down next to this one newborn who was baskin in the sun on a pile of straw and rubbed its head... and a little glint showed up in his eye and he said "Its a darn good thing they don't stay this cute isn't it?" newborn calves or lambs or kids (goats, not children) or shoats are about the cutest thng I could imagine yet we eat them alll...

I had horse once.. Didn't know about until after the fact... Not saying I will eat it again or want to but I did have it once...

Reminds me of the story of the 1890's when a young man was working with his brothers running a threshing crew. At dinner time he put a cooked chicken gizzard on his plate and cutting it, found it had not been cleaned. Not wanting to spoil anyone's appetite he threw the gizzard under the table, and cleaned his plate with a biscuit and threw that under the table also.

How's Clarence doing? Did you fix his computer problems? Haven't seen him post in a long time.
