Of course it's 'occupied territories"

Of course the Jews run us.

The heros of the middle east--Exodus, 6 day war, etc---have turned into the bullies of the middle east---with 3rd generation Palestinians being raised in captivity.

And Muslim 'matrys' being created faster than we can kill them.

WTH do repubs get these people
?!

Christie Apologizes for Using 'Occupied Territories' Term

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie apologized to casino mogul Sheldon Adelson for referring to the "occupied territories" during a speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition on Saturday, according to a source familiar with the conversation.

At the organization's spring meeting, Christie -- in a bid to connect with the audience by referencing a trip to Israel -- said: "I took a helicopter ride from the occupied territories across, and just felt personally how extraordinary that was, to understand the military risk that Israel faces every day."

When Christie made the remark Saturday, it set off murmurs through the crowd. Many supporters of Israel object to using the phrase "occupied territories" to refer to the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

The sad part of the story is why Christie and the crew of top wannabes have to be kissing the feet of Adelson and the rest of the Vegas elitists in the first place...

Same old sh*t- on the road to the best government BIG money can buy... :(

Sure doesn't sound like Christie was "kissing the feet" of Jews when using terminology like "occupied territories" in the context of which he used it.

Governors Christie, Walker and Kasich woo billionaire Sheldon Adelson at Vegas event
By Philip Rucker, E-mail the writer

LAS VEGAS — To New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Republicans must “stop killing each other.” Start focusing on winning elections, he thundered, or keep arguing and “form a university.”

To Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, the GOP ought to quit being the party that cuts programs and takes goodies away from people. “We can’t be the accountant party,” he said. “We’ve got to be the party of more freedom, more opportunity, more prosperity.”

And to Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Republicans should prove to middle-class voters that they understand their problems by seizing the “moral high ground” and guiding those who are struggling to make ends meet out of the shadows.

Three of the nation’s most prominent governors, all touted as potential Republican presidential candidates in 2016, presented advice here Saturday about how their divided and demoralized party should refocus to reclaim the White House.

Under the watchful eyes of a few hundred powerful Jewish donors — none more heavily courted than billionaire casino magnate Sheldon Adelson — Christie, Walker and Kasich also emphasized their support for Israel and advocated a muscular foreign policy.

“We cannot have a world where our friends are unsure of whether we’ll be with them and our enemies are unsure of whether we’ll be against them,” Christie said. “In New Jersey, no one has to wonder whether I’m for them or against them.”

The three seemed less confident speaking about foreign affairs than they were about domestic policy. Christie drew murmurs when he referred to the “occupied territories,” a phrasing some in the audience said was a gaffe.

Officially, the governors were in Las Vegas to address the spring leadership meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition, which has long promoted a staunchly pro-Israel and interventionist foreign policy. But their political objective was to build relationships with potential benefactors who could bankroll future campaigns.

Doesn't matter if its Jewish money, Muslim money, or Protestant money-- its still sad that in this day and age Big money can still legally buy politicians and stuff them in their pocket to do their daily favors...And as the 8th richest man in the world Adelson can buy a lot of favors....

Sheldon Adelson Says No Republican Candidate Worth Buying

Posted by Andy Borowitz

LAS VEGAS (The Borowitz Report)—The casino billionaire and Republican kingmaker Sheldon Adelson met several 2016 G.O.P. candidates available for purchase over the weekend, but decided to buy none of them, Adelson confirmed today.

After hearing speeches by Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, and several others who were for sale, Mr. Adelson concluded that none of them are worth owning.

“I don’t want to spend millions on another loser,” said Adelson, who purchased both Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney in 2012.

The casino magnate was scathing in his assessment of the candidates he declined to buy, calling them “a third-rate grab bag of has-beens and dimwits.”

“I guess the Republican Party is thinking, Here comes crazy old Sheldon, he’ll blow his money on the first washed-out wingnut we throw out there,” Adelson said. “Well, guess again.”

Lobbying on Syria has inspired coalitions of the unlikely, aligning President Barack Obama with Sheldon Adelson, the Republican billionaire who spent about $70 million trying to defeat him last year, in the push for a military response to the use of chemical weapons.

Opponents of U.S. military intervention in the civil war-torn Middle Eastern country include Occupy Wall Street, which protests against Wall Street profits; Code Pink, an antiwar group; and the Russians.

he support Obama is getting from pro-Israel groups in the U.S. is important because of their history of political influence. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee and other Jewish groups have long helped secure continued U.S. aid to Israel, mobilizing activists who visit or call lawmakers. The effort is supplemented by several political action committees that donate to candidates depending on their support for Israel.

for some reason the math doesn't add up...

Political Giving

The pro-Israel community contributed $14.5 million to federal campaigns for the 2012 elections, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. That’s more than the $11.1 million in donations by the defense aerospace industry, one of the biggest and most consistent political contributors.

While most of the Jewish groups’ donations lean Democratic, Adelson alone transformed the 2012 Republican primary when he and his wife used $15 million in private funds to sustain the unsuccessful candidacy of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and then poured $53 million into groups advancing Republican nominee Mitt Romney. In all, Adelson and his wife donated $93 million to Republican causes in the 2012 campaign, center data shows.

The Republican Jewish Coalition, which counts Adelson as a board member, yesterday sent an “action alert” to its 45,000 members, directing them to tell Congress to authorize force. “This is not a partisan issue,” the coalition said in its message.
Adelson Support

It spent $6.4 million against Obama last year, according to the center, a Washington-based research group that tracks campaign spending.

While the BP oil geyser pumps millions of gallons of petroleum into the Gulf of Mexico, President Barack Obama and members of Congress may have to answer for the millions in campaign contributions they’ve taken from the oil and gas giant over the years.

BP and its employees have given more than $3.5 million to federal candidates over the past 20 years, with the largest chunk of their money going to Obama, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Donations come from a mix of employees and the company’s political action committees — $2.89 million flowed to campaigns from BP-related PACs and about $638,000 came from individuals.
