Christmas joy...

Sue didn’t want to put up a Christmas tree this year. But we did this last week.
It has been hard as it was Christmas time 3 years ago when her mother died. Last Christmas we didn’t have my dad and this Christmas we won’t have Jody. The two of us had a good cry this morning something we have been able to for weeks.
But what is Christmas but the celebration of the birth of Emanuel, of our Father in Heaven only begotten son. He came here and atoned for our sins and over came death.
“For God so Loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life” John 3:16

Thanks, Jody. We are sorry for your losses, and know that it hits especially hard this time of year. It was Christmas three years ago that our daughter "abandoned" us. At least she is still alive, and we hope that she will reconcile with us sometime in the future. We will welcome her with open arms when that time comes.

Meanwhile, even with all of the world's heartaches, we can still enjoy the best Christmas gift ever. God sent His only Son, Jesus, into the world to rid it of sin. If we accept this wonderful gift, nothing else matters.

Merry Christmas. :)
