Half the times (and second and third times) the rich aren't even charged- with the prosecuters making deals for treatment and counseling- deferred prosecutions- ala your cultist spokesman Rush Limbaugh :???: - which the poor people can't pay for and go to jail instead.......

More times than not first offenders rich or poor, paid attorneys or public defenders get off on non violent crimes especially drug related charges. Even them poor black people get off and get more than one chance with no jail term. You my sir are either Bias and unwilling to acknowledge it in this thread or you never were a Sheriff, and you prideful knowledge of the law is an online hoax!

Kolan you have talked about crime in your area before, how many times have you seen the same person get out of jail with slap on wrist and come and repeat that same crime in your area? Were they rich or average to lower income?

McCain's defense team, led by Washington lawyer John Dowd, secured an agreement with the U.S. Attorney's office that limited her punishment to financial restitution and enrollment in a diversion program, without any public disclosure.

BullPuckey-- How many of those poor folks that get caught committing fraud and theft with a major public charity- especially involving the theft of and coverup of theft of drugs like Cindy Lou Hensley McCain did- and don't even get charged- with an agreement of no public disclosure.... :???:

Poor people are not usually involved in major public charities. So lets get the point straight.

I know of numerous times in my community that someone on welfare committed a crime and got it dismissed because they knew they hand no money and would get nothing. Happens all the time.

I have had three things stolen on three occasions and the evidence to convict all three and none did any time. One stole my ATM card and the bank had him on camera trying to figure out my code. He as never charged.

Criminals are let loose all the time around the world for first offenses, the poorer ones many times do not have fines or have to do community service, the prosecutor just does not file the charges because it is not worth their time.

As a so called Sheriff you should be telling us of hundreds of times you arrested someone and they walked Scott free with out so much as a hand slap. How many poor people did you arrest for the same crime over and over and they kept only getting their hands slapped.

You never were a Sheriff where you??? You are catching yourself in a lie on this thread! Maybe you were like our local guy who is the dog catcher but walks around in a uniform and badge with a mace bottle instead of a gun on his police belt but hangs out and drinks coffee with all the deputies acting like he also is in law enforcement.........

You can't compare our law here , and I use that word loosely, to anything but the Keystone Cops, but election is coming up soon and that should change.

Anyhoo...back to your question. My ' problem' came from a a family that was/is generational with its stealing and theiving, that's all they knew to do, never worked a lick at anything that anyone can ever remember.

The grandfather of the clan died while trying to set someone's house on fire for revenge.

The father of my crook died in prison .

My truck thief/ crook is doing 10 yrs MINIMUM of a 29 yr sentence. So I'd say justice was awhile in coming ,by my measure ,in my case but the law kept telling me ' cool it, we'll do it but we want it to stick when we do"...and as much as I like to think it was my constant naggin' on them....they stayed on it and made'er stick!!

Now, there is a cousin of their's who's took up the cause while the others are serving time.

Everyone in these parts is below ' middle income' I'd guess. I don't see their tax returns but I've know them all my life and families have known each other 3 generations back or so, remember we're hillbillies!!!
