This is a woman who questioned Arlen Spectar then was on Hardball. I was pretty close to having some tears today listening to her.

There is no excuse for harassing phone calls or e-mails, if in fact that is happening to this person. People should have the right to make a jackass out of themselves at a public meeting without fear of harassment in their private lives.

That said, Glenn Beck actually thinks this person, who doesn't know what her family's income is (my husband handles that) and basically admits to not being plugged into politics, is some sort of American hero for standing up and yelling crazy things about "becoming like Russia" to sickly old Arlen Specter?

Give me a break.

She complained about TARP. I didn't like it much either, but why do I have the sneaking suspicion she doesn't know TARP from a tarp.

Once again, a little knowledge is dangerous.

and the question.. should we cancel medicare

no is the answer.. it is funded by the people and our employers.. and raided by the government.. it shouldn't be stopped,... but what should be stopped is the governments ability to raid it...

I watched her getting questioned on hardball.. he was polite but appeared condescending..

and by a few of the comments on the left leaning blogs concerning it, it shows why the right and many moderates are fed up with the elitist lefts attitudes..

and criticizing a person for speaking out in a civil manner and making fun of her shows what a jackass some on the left really are..

having been a law enforcement officer you should know that the level of anger gets raised anytime a person is treated disrespectfully.. and now that anger level is getting raised across the entire nation..

I agree about raiding either medicare or social security, but I think the question was fair. Those programs are forms of socialism. And they work. And very few people would want to end them.

I thought the questioner was actually pretty soft on her - for Hardball anyway - if Chris Matthews had been there it would have been much worse (I'm a lefty, but I don't have much time for that guy's style).

And comments on the blogs? It is easy to find idiotic comments from both left and the right on just about any high-traffic political site. I wouldn't put much stock in them.

She's the jackass? That moron on Hardball is trying to tell her "The President never said that" when she heard the SOB saying exactly that?

Here is video of Bill O'Reilly tonight where he hammered NBC News and their parent company General Electric for overtly trying to come to the rescue of President Obama and the Democrats' Government Health Care Plan.

"Take stimulus funds from the taxpayers and then demonize them"

Excuse me!!! Both those programs are broke and adding to the national debt. If you ran a business that lost money every year, would you call it successful because you could go back to the bank and borrow more money to cover your loses?????? That is the state of our government...you don't ease the burden of a $2 TRILLION debt buy borrowing/spending more taxpayer money,,,THAT WE DON'T HAVE!!!
