Hey Trinity Man, are pecans really bringing about 30% more this year over last year or is the place I buy from getting greedy?

Well I sold 2,600 for some for Christmas money and I got 85 cents per lb and they are still in the shell :D . I will have alot more later if it quits rainning. I bought some paper shell cracked and they was around 2.50 per lb. The guy I sell them to is in Cameron Texas.

The past few years I've been sending pecans from Royalty Pecans (just up the road) as Christmas gifts to relatives out of state. Was a neat idea and the premium to place the orders and have them ship them out was really convenient. Was surprised at the price increase this year not only for the pecans but shipping costs were also about 25% more so they did lose some business this year. Still picked up some for an aunt but instead of having them shipped I went down and picked them up and will take the to her tomorrow.

Course, by not sending the pecans, I ended up buying the most expensive steaks I've ever bought. But at least those are related to our own line of business. :(

Glad I don't have family scattered all over the US. :lol2:
