A Failed Detonator Likely Saved the Lives of Hundreds of Innocents on a Christmas Day Flight, but the Person in Charge of All This Believes the System Worked

Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano today on CNN explained that the system worked on Christmas Day

Speaking to CNN, Napolitano explained that the system worked

(CNN) -- Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Sunday there was no indication so far that an alleged botched terror attack on a U.S. airliner was part of a broad international effort.

"Right now we have no indication that it is part of anything larger," Napolitano told CNN's "State of the Union" program.

WASHINGTON -- Al Qaeda's affiliate in Yemen claimed responsibility for the attack on Northwest Flight 253, and U.S. officials said the claim appears valid -- the clearest indication yet that the attempted takedown wasn't just the work of a lone radical inspired by Islamist rhetoric, as some investigators initially believed.

Al Qaeda claims credit for an attempted plane bombing, more aggressive help for housing again and more in the News Hub.
The development came as evidence mounted that the U.S. didn't pursue potential leads that might have brought alleged Christmas Day bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to the attention of authorities, according to Congressional investigators and U.S. officials.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano backtracked Monday from comments she made in televised interviews over the weekend, in which she said the U.S.'s security systems had worked.

The Army psychiatrist accused of the Fort Hood massacre apparently acted alone according to reports but was later found to have ties to Yemen and lots of red flags when it came to his beliefs. When is Janet and Obama going to take these terrorist seriously? :x
