CNN president found Obama's long form BC

It was discarded by accident, ya, that's it. So there Lou Dobbs, "shut-up", you've been warned.

The website TVNewser reported today that Klein sent an e-mail to staffers of “Lou Dobbs Tonight” just as the program went to air, informing them that CNN researchers had determined that Hawaiian officials discarded all paper documents in 2001. A long-form birth certificate with details about the doctor who delivered Obama no longer exists, they reported. The shorter Certificate of Live Birth noting Obama’s birth on Aug. 4, 1961, that has been made public is the official record.

oops, forgot link. I guess this also answers the question of why Obama has spent so much on lawyers?

CNN/U.S. President Jon Klein told staffers at the cable news network Thursday night that the supposed controversy regarding the legitimacy of President Obama’s birth certificate is a “dead” story after anchor Lou Dobbs drew attention for raising the issue repeatedly on his radio program.

“It seems to definitively answer the question,” Klein wrote, according to TVNewser. “Since the show's mission is for Lou to be the explainer and enlightener, he should be sure to cite this during your segment tonite. And then it seems this story is dead -- because anyone who still is not convinced doesn't really have a legitimate beef.”

I know NC hasnt had paper documents for many years......BUT they do have it on microfiche and more recently scanned into computer.......
There is NO WAY they would toss important legal documents without backups.

The State of Hawaii has already said they have it stored as required

'I as Director of Health for the State of Hawaii, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawaii State Department of Health has Senator Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.

And here is Lou Dobbs stating, just as his boss advised.

So who's lying? Why would CNN's president lie about the reasons the story is "dead"

Why don't all of you birthers go to your courthouse and get a copy of your birth certificate. You just might learn a thing or two. My bc doesn't list what hospital I was born in only the county. It also doesn't list the doctor. This bc was good enough to obtain a US passport.

I read it was discarded with the rest of the birth certs. in Hawaii that were not the short forms. All of the birth certs. before 2002, when they went to the short forms, had the pertinent data transferred to the short form, and the rest were discarded.

When I got my passport years ago, I had to use the birth cert. that was filed in the county clerk's office. I couldn't use the cute little birth cert. that had doc's name, hospital name, foot print, etc. that the hospital gave my parents when I was born. It is not accepted as an official document.

Did you travel to Pakistan in the early 80's on it?
I know a guy in Manila who can accommodate requests for USP's that will pass even the closest scrutiny for 1500 USD each.

There was not a U.S. citizen travel ban for Pakistan then. That has been verified.

But in the latest AOL poll of more than 30,000 people, 82 percent said it's time for Obama to cough up the original long-form birth certificate.

82% about the same as on here-- does that mean 82% of the country are tin foil hat wearing, fearmongering rightwingnuts!!!

Of course a passport would have been required to enter Pakistan...and leave Pakistan...just as it is today. And a visa, also! And yes, of course a birth certificate has to be shown to get an United States passport.

A United States citizen with a passport and visa could travel into and out of Pakistan in the early 80s...there was no travel ban. Ergo, Obama entered and left Pakistan with his American passport that he obtained by showing his Hawaiian birth certificate.

What's your point?

The State of Hawaii says they have his "original birth Certificate" not COLB, but Certificate, stored electronically.

If they did not throw them out, then the CNN president is lying, or is mistaken on his use of terminology.

Hawaii has been asking for the long form, until just recently. They started issuing only the short form in 2001, and transferred all records to electronic form. They did not throw them out, they are still on file.

"In order to process your application, DHHL utilizes information that is found only on the original Certificate of Live Birth, which is either black or green," the qualifications stated as recently as last month. "This is a more complete record of your birth than the Certification of Live Birth (a computer-generated printout). Submitting the original Certificate of Live Birth will save you time and money since the computer-generated Certification requires additional verification by DHHL."

According to Hawaii's Department of Health spokeswoman Janice Okubo, the state began issuing only "certifications of live birth" in 2001 when the health department went paperless. It is only available in electronic form, she said.

And, Ms. Okubo has said that it is apparent the birthers are not going to accept anything...and it's gotten to where that is scary...or words to that effect...

Yes, she did make a statement like that.

Does that excuse the CNN President of trying to silence Dobbs, with lies?

The fact is that the COLB was released to DailyKOS, and the Annenberg foundation. More and more people are not trusting the source of the COLB or the facts contained on it.

Why was it not released by Obama's campaign to a trusted news outlet?

Alice, does Obama's sister have a Hawaii COLB? Where was she born?

He didn't lie to silence Dobbs...in fact he said, hey, what the hell...it's a dead issue, but go for it. (You don't think very much of your audience's intelligence or ability to read and decipher.)

As far as his sister is concerned...I dunno...but no doubt she does. Are you gonna believe her?

Roland Martin had an article that put it quite well the other day....Obama could show anything and everything including the delivering Drs. name tattooed on his butt- and these rightwing nutcases wouldn't believe it anyway....They'd just wind and spin their conspiracy some other way- because they want nothing short of anarchy...
