CNN: Hey about that 14% jump we reported in Obama's favor... yeah, actually we're full of crap!
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 6:16 PM
Guess we're not the most trusted name in news after all...
In the hours following the President's address to a joint session of Congress CNN reported that the President had scored a 14% increase in his public polling on the issue.
This seemingly miraculous narrative no doubt was generated to support the administration in it's last, still flailing efforts to attempt to jump start a repeatedly killed, choked, mangled, killed, dead, dead, dead version of the take over of a federally nationalized health care system.
But it turns out CNN was full of "Misinformation," "bogus claims," "scare tactics," "such a charge would be laughable,' "it is a lie plain and simple"sort of stuff...
Also turns out they spiked the poll. Polling 45% Democrats and only 18% Republicans. The national population breaks down roughly 33% and 32% respectively.
Even that being said, even with all the cheating in the polling sample thrown in, only 56% said they had a "very positive" reaction to his "most-important-speech-evah-to-be-given-in-the-history-of-the-world".
And even with the slanted, cheating poll sample, that falls 12% short of the "very positive" number at his February joint session speech.
So even when they cheat the sample, their shortfalls still don't measure up.
That's both embarrassing AND sad!
