Collecting phone records acceptable

Is dis still as 'mainstream' as she thinks? 'Fraid not. :(

She really likes to gripe about the NSA collecting phone records. As if all Americans share her concerns. But apparently, they don't.

She really likes to talk about polls. But she's not talking about this one from ABC News/Washington Post.

Link below, dis. Just for you.

Is collecting phone records acceptable?
Yes 63%
No 35%

Would it bother you if there was a record of your phone calls?
Yes 34%
No 66%

And here's another interesting revelation. An excerpt from the link below:

"Sixty-five percent say it's more important for the government to investigate possible threats, even if that intrudes on personal privacy, than for it to avoid privacy intrusions if that limits its investigative ability."

ABC! That mainstream media! You'd take what they say as truthful. The news just came out yesterday. And there's another poll today that shows different views than the ABC poll. It will take time for people to make up their minds. But already different pollsters are getting a different response:

"Has the Bush administration gone too far in expanding the powers of the President to fight terrorism? Yes, say a majority of Americans, following this week’s revelation that the National Security Agency has been secretly collecting the phone records of U.S. citizens since the September 11 terrorist attacks. According to the latest NEWSWEEK poll, 53 percent of Americans think the NSA’s surveillance program “goes too far in invading people’s privacy,” while 41 percent see it as a necessary tool to combat terrorism."

And it doesn't matter what the majority is willing to accept. Our Constitution has always protected us from "Big Brother." Under this Administration, those protections are being swept away.

You are a hypoctite and broke cowboy was right, you have no moral fiber. You change ,just like most Democrats, your beliefs to fit the situation.

 Want to explan that one, RR? Laws are based on the morality of the community. If enough Americans want to give up their freedoms, we can abolish our Constitution. As much as you and President Bush seem to want that to happen, I don't think it's going to.
