An assistant professor at an American university has been arrested for allegedly grabbing a 14-year-old female relative by the hair and dragging her into a car after he noticed she wasn't wearing a hijab.

Youssif Z. Omar, 53, was reportedly at Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri, on Tuesday when he spotted that the girl did not have the traditional Muslim headscarf.

Officer Latisha Stroer told the Columbia Tribune in an email that Omar grabbed the girl 'very violently by the hair'.

He then allegedly slapped her across the face, and pulled her by the hair down and flight of stairs and into his car.

The next day, Omar was arrested on suspicion of child abuse while he was at his home on the 1700 block of Timber Creek Drive.

Omar's LinkedIn page lists him as being an assistant professor at the University of Missouri, Columbia and manager of Artifacts Journal at the University bookstore.

His Facebook page says he's married and originally from Benghazi, Libya. His LinkedIn profile says he was the head of the English department at the University of Benghazi Wahat Branch from 2003-2007.

He was released from the Boone County Jail after posting a $4,500 bond.

As democrats look the other way and pretend the Republicans are responsible for the war on women. He wasn't doing anything really sinister, like stopping her from getting an abortion. Nothing to see here.

I saw this on the news ... nope,.. actually this is the first time I read it... the news was to busy trying to call the last shooting a
workplace violence situation and blame it on easy access to guns and ammo...

this is more chilling when you look at the details
Columbia police on Wednesday arrested a 53-year-old man who allegedly pulled a teenage family member out of Hickman High School by her hair and slapped her.

Police responded at 3 p.m. to the school, 1104 N. Providence Road, for a child abuse call, Officer Latisha Stroer said in an email. Youssif Z. Omar was at the school and noticed a 14-year-old female family member was not wearing a hijab, a traditional headscarf that some Muslim women wear. Omar became irate, Stroer said, grabbed the girl “very violently by the hair” and pulled her outside and down a flight of stairs.

Omar allegedly slapped the girl’s face and pulled her into his car by her hair, Stroer said. Police arrested Omar on suspicion of child abuse, a felony, at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday at his residence in the 1700 block of Timber Creek Drive. He was released from the Boone County Jail after posting a $4,500 bond.

it happened at a school... police responded.. and THEN they arrested him at his home... two hours later?
really what if this [email protected]@$$ had her for two hours wasn't just a muslim fanatic?

At Last, Students at Mizzou Have Something Legitimate to Protest

A shocking thing has happened to a young girl in Columbia, Missouri, at the hands of an assistant professor at the University of Missouri, no less. I can safely say that what happened to this young woman was more harmful than the sum total of alleged grievances brought up by hunger striker Jonathan Butler. And, unlike the list of #ConcernedStudent1950 grievances, this one was directly caused by Mizzou faculty, as opposed to being an alleged “atmosphere” that they turned a blind eye to.

This woman, because of religious bigotry, was grabbed violently by her hair, in public, and dragged through her school, while this Mizzou professor repeatedly slapped her into the face. He pulled her outside of the school hall and down the stairs and then violently threw her into a car, again by her hair.

The stated reasons for his actions have to do with the professor’s narrow-minded religious views that are oppressive to women and other people who don’t belong to his religion. Sounds like just the sort of thing #ConcernedStudent1950 would really get into, right? Sounds like they might want to create a safe space where this woman can talk about what’s happened to her, and to go on some hunger strikes until this professor is fired and everyone involved in his hiring is also fired, right?

Anyway, I’m sure oppression is oppression, and the Mizzou students will welcome this girl’s plight into their movement, and continue their protests until the conditions that allowed Mr. Omar to become a professor at Mizzou are rectified.

Right?

crazy how the left thinks.. it invents so-called injustices,.. and ignores real injustices
