In listening to the arguments on requiring all states to honor the home states concealed carry permit- I heard Sen. Thune argue that SD had reciprocity agreements with 27 states...Since I have a nationwide concealed carry ability as retired law enforcement- I haven't looked at these for awhile....

Here's the site:

Interestingly- Nebraska and California are two of the states that while several other states honor their permits- they do not honor any other states...
Must be all those Nebraska antigun Liberals :???:  :p

The right to self-defense neither begins nor ends at a state border.
• A law-abiding citizen does not suffer a character change by crossing a state line.
• An “unalienable right” is not determined by geographical boundaries.(nor can be revoked by the state)
• A patchwork of state laws regarding the carrying of firearms can make criminals out of honest folks, especially those who frequently must travel the states to earn a living.

I have taken the class to get my Utah and/or Florida CCW permit, that would allow me to carry in the most states. Again, it shouldn't even be necessary in the first place.

Use to take about 30-60 days to get your permit here in Texas. Since Obama was elected applications have gone from 600 per week to over 15,000 and they are advising everyone to expect a wait of a minimum of 6 months to approve or decline permit.
