Thanks to SW (I think it was SW) for recommending the autobiography of Ferry Carpenter called "Confessions of a Maverick". It is a real good read. I ordered it on Amazon and it came in Monday and even though I am in the middle of tax season, have been reading it every evening. I am about 2/3rds through. Very interesting reading on the west in the early 20th century and the cattle business as well.
