59% Think New GOP Congress Likely to Be A Disappointment

Friday, November 07, 2014

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss? The ink’s scarcely dry on Tuesday’s ballots, and most voters already expect the new Republican majority in Congress will let them down.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 59% of Likely U.S. Voters believe it is at least somewhat likely that most voters will be disappointed with Republicans in Congress before the 2016 elections. That includes 36% who say it’s Very Likely.

Just 26% consider it unlikely that the new congressional GOP will be a disappointment to most voters, with seven percent (7%) who say it is Not At All Likely. Fifteen percent (15%) are not sure.

More than half of all Americans disapprove of the job President Barack Obama is doing in office, according to the most recent Gallup poll. The three-day rolling average for Nov. 4 -- Nov. 6, which included Election Day 2014, showed that 54 percent of Americans disapproved of the job Obama was doing as president, while 41 percent approved.

While the approval rating was not Obama's all-time low -- that happened a few weeks back in October when it hit 57 percent -- many political experts agree that his unpopularity helped Republicans take control of the Senate, widen their hold on the House of Representatives and even win several close governors races on Tuesday.

Seems that a lot of the polls, surveys, and hunches that Old Time Cowboy Sheriff "Pig Eye" Britzman posted prior to the election were proven false as hell on election day.

Almost half of the Senators that voted for Obamadoesn'tcare are no longer Senators for various reasons. About 1/4 were replaced by Republicans.
