if a national day of protest was organized in support of term limits would you go?

United States Senate may serve no more than two 6-year terms.
US House of Representatives may serve no more than Three 2-year terms.

The problem is that whenever the Republicans are in power they forget all about term limits. Last time I heard so much talk about term limits was almost twenty years ago now.

The Citizen Legislature Act

An amendment to the Constitution that would have imposed 12-year term limits on members of the US Congress (i.e. six terms for Representatives, two terms for Senators). H.J.Res.73[6] rejected by the U.S. House 227-204 (a constitutional amendment requires a two-thirds majority, not a simple majority), 3/29/95; RC #277.

I say take the unspent stimulus money and give a billion to the president and a billion to all senators and congressmen. Give them a pink slip and see how quick they ask for the check. It would be our cheapest way out.
