Congressional Work Schedule?

Lou Dobbs reported tonight that with the normal 4-5 days a week they take off and the summer vacation they plan on taking before the election (so some can go home and campaign for a couple months)- between now and election day Nov. 4, 2008- Congress only plans on being in session for 30 days...

Then from Nov. 4, 2008- until the new Congress begins in 2009- they plan on working 0 , zero, zilch, nada, no days....

And the bad point is what? After all they can screw up anything. If they aren't going to drill, drill, drill they may as well stay home. Maybe if they figure that they stay home their poll numbers might get out of the single digits.

Should just take these guys salary- and deduct so much on every vote they miss (which wouldn't bother McCain since he was a rich heirous sugarmomma) - but miss so many and your booted out the door... No excuses for raising campaign money- or pandering Mexican votes in Mexico on the 4th of July Holiday....Be a way to get some of our money's worth back- and be a good term limiter....
No Workeee- No Payeee

Ted Kennedy, sick with a brain tumor, votes more often than McCain

Saturday, July 12, 2008
On Thursday, Ted Kennedy, who is suffering from a brain tumor that needs daily treatment, flew from Boston to DC in order to cast a vote on a Medicare bill. With this one vote — the only vote he has cast since he was diagnosed on May 20 — he now has voted more often in the last 3 months than McCain.

The last time McCain bothered to show up for work was April 8, missing 76 votes since then, including at least one where the bill in question lost by only a single vote. He has given speeches calling Social Security “a total disgrace” but he didn’t bother to show up to vote on it. Most frustrating was the GI benefits bill, which he vocally opposed, then didn’t bother to vote on. And when it passed, he tried to take credit for its passage.

While it is true that Congress critters running for the presidency often miss a few votes, this is ridiculous. During the current session of Congress, McCain has missed a total of 374 votes, more than any other Senator.

H.R. 6068, The Don't Let the Bed Bugs Bite Act of 2008
H.R. 6068 would establish a grant program to assist States in inspecting hotel rooms for bed bugs.

These idiots get more comical everyday... Over the past month I've sent my D.C. idiots several letters and e-mails to get off the pot and do something...

Well today I get an e-mail back from Congressman Rehberg on how to help me..He has a website to go to:
On this website, you can find resources for locating the cheapest gas prices in your region, tips for making every gallon go further.

Funniest thing is all the places with gas prices 20 to 25 cents cheaper are 600+ miles away round trip....
