Reader is still trying to stir the pot it seems. She must dig hard and long to come up with these liberal writers and the subject lines. She probably subscribes to Star and Globe magazines.

Why do we even respond to her posts? Do people actually read this garbage?

Had to look startlegram up. Never read it once when I lived in TX.

Really? When I worked in the Journalism dept. at TCU, it was required reading. Truthfully, I got into a lot of places I normally wouldn't have if it hadn't been for the Startlegram. That was a long time ago...but I can remember lunches at Colonial Country Club...and the Petroleum Club...and the toy fair in Dallas and, well...nevermind... :D

I won't totally dis the Startlegram...

Consider where I lived. I read The Daily Texan, The Austin American Statesman. And Texas Monthly. Only went to Houston a few times and never to Dallas or Fort Worth if I weren't flying through there.

I liked Bastrop, Gruene, New Brunfels, Luckenbach, Marble Falls, San Marcos, San Antonio, Laredo, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Galveston, East Texas.

Hey...gotta love Austin American Statesman and Texas Monthly...

Wow R2!!! Are you really a closet conservative. I gotta hand it too you on posting this. I agree that we need healthcare reform but it seems like each side R and D are not willing to come to the middle and listen to opposing viewpoints. I'm sure each side has good things to put in the bill and things that they want taken out(mostly the R's). But the Dems are not willing to come from their corner on the left to meet the R's halfway and that is not how you should try and reform 1/7 of our economy. There should not ever be a bill passed that is not bipartisan on either side. EVER.

Just because they have the majority doesn't mean that they know what is best for the country.

backhoeboogie - I don't care what you think of me. I think less of you each time you say these kinds of things. You do not understand my motivations nor have you understood many of my posts it seems.

I would love to have true conservatives to debate with. Like the people in this article who deserve respect and to be listened to. Or in your case, to be read.

I object to constant negative propaganda, some significant percentage of which is not substantiated and has turned out to be unfounded and just plain wrong.

R2, you work for a company, who's best business strategy is to scare the citizens, expand government control, and profit off of taxpayer $$.

You need to show us how we can trust what you say.

Yes.

Read that title. Conservatives see a need for healthcare debate. What true "conservative?"

If I get the time, I may read this and likely my opinion will be the exact same.

The USA is in serious trouble and it has nothing to do with health care, although congress has spent a whole year flailing with it.
