Conspiracy Theory Conservatism

fff

Well-known member
More likely, there will be a split in the Republican Party that will begin to take shape this year, and give rise to new leadership--possibly even a new splinter party movement--by the 2010 elections. Everyone who thinks they can leverage the conspiracy theory conservatives to win elections will stay with the old guard. Those who see the conspiracy theory conservatives as a toxic influence will go their separate ways.

Interesing thought. Where did this come from?

I don't read either him nor Huffington, but I was looking for an analysis of the conspiracy theory mentality that has swept PB and is crippling the GOP.

No one will believe me since I'm a fat Jewish biatch, but perhaps a third party will be listened to

By the way, I'm middle aged but not as hideous as "they" opine lol. Just hideous in my liberal views

It's ok to read Huffington. Don't let these guys who link to NEWSMAX and FOX get you down. But don't hold your breath about them listening to a third party. :)

reader, I tried to read this, but had to stop when I got to this...
Barack Obama says he is a capitalist, but he is really a socialist working with a secret group to fool the public and take over the American government.
In three months, Obama has the government on the verge of owning the auto industry, the banking industry, and ,arguably, already own the housing industry through Freddie and Fannie. He has spent more money than all Presidents before him...combined. The debt he is accumulating will bankrupt the country. Please tell me how any of that is conspiracy?

Are you old enough to remember how Goldwater was treated???

I don't agree with everything that is on Fox because I don't agree with the liberals they have on there...BUT, name me a mainstream media source that regularly has both conservative and liberal viewpoints!!!!!!!

My family, who were liberal then as now (and Christian by the way), liked and respected Goldwater.

Frankly, I think the country was ready for a Catholic president (barely) but god forbid not ready for a Jewish president.

It's fascinating to me that we had a black president before a female or Jewish one.
Why do liberals have to label every one?

No comment about Obama's attack on capitalism?

Don't group us all together, if you are going to call someone out, do it on an individual basis.

You've given lots of examples of how you insult people today. Please find some examples of how I have done it in the past!

You pander with silly photos of Obama and pretend that you are posting substance but half the time you are simply posting because you crave attention and don't care the quality of your post.

That was the emotional type of response I expected, anything factual?

That's funny Robert Mac considering that this rightwing crowd has labeled us liberals --

fat Jewish biatch

fat butt

Trustafarian

gay

fluff

and god knows all the labels thrown at Nonothing, OT, Kola, bullhauler, R2, alice, etc.

Kola was right all along. They can dish it out but are cry babies when someone turns the tables on them.
I wasn't talking about the name calling...

Hypo, thought the Obama walking on water was hilarious!!!

Okay I call out Mike, Loomix, Larrry, Aplus, hopalong as continually resorting to personal insult when confronted with an opinion they don't agree with.

And several are blatantly misogynist and racist.

OK..call us out! But I warn you that you'll get the truth.

Go back to the last personal insult I gave you and read your words to me and my response.....

Robert Mac, You just had to know I was going to answer your question. Lou Dobbs-more fair and unbiased than anyone on Fox imo.

Lou just reads his script. He's sinking quickly just like his cable network.

Since the inauguration, Fox News commands nearly half of the gross ratings points in the cable news marketplace, and is now on course to mark its tenth straight week as ad-supported cable’s No. 2 network.

Naturally, Fox News says that second place isn’t good enough. Even after taking the silver among ad-supported cable in the first quarter of 2009, averaging 2.26 million total viewers to USA Network’s record delivery of 3.26 million, the channel won’t rest until it has reached the summit. In short, FNC wants to win the prime-time ratings crown outright, and as the upfront season approaches, its ad sales team is trumpeting that message to media buyers.

Except for the one guy on CNN blond boy son of Gloria Vandervilt Anderson Cooper who's all about being a nice guy.

This Anderson Cooper?

The Federal Communications Commission will review complaints it receives over the on-camera gutter talk of anchors for CNN and MSNBC that came as they condemned the tea party movement in which hundreds of thousands of Americans met on Tax Day to protest not just taxes but a runaway government digging the nation into trillions of dollars in debt.

A spokesman for the federal agency confirmed to WND today that there is a standard procedure for evaluating complaints over obscenities, but he could not confirm there would be any response until the concerns had been reviewed.

If anybody thinks the teaparties had anything to do with a conspiracy they have no idea whatsoever on what they were about. I didn't think it was that damn difficult to figure out.

I asked my mother-in-law this question...when in your life time have you seen conservative get out and protest as they did in these TEA parties?
Her answer...Never!!!

These protest will happen again on July 4th and will dwarf what happened on April 15 because there aren't only about taxes...

They are about stopping run away government spending...because these are the people(and their children and grand children) that are going to be paying off this massive debt.

They are about stopping the attack on capitalism and the government take over of major industries. Most people don't yet understand what the impact of cap&trade and "green" policies will have them...energy cost will skyrocket which will make the cost of everything we buy skyrocket! Universal healthcare will be another major new government expense that will grow the debt even larger.

Obama has fulfilled one campaign promise...redistribution of wealth!!!!

And...who else????? I gave a list sometime ago of the liberals that are regulars on Fox to provide "BALANCE"!!!!!
I'll be waiting to see your list of conservative on ALL the other networks. But I won't be holding my breathe.
Look at the major newspapers that are in financial trouble...they are all liberal leaning. The major networks(ABC, CBS, NBC) are all losing news viewership. Fox is increasing viewers. You people that think the Republican party is dead are wrong. The liberal Republican leadership of the Republican party is DEAD!!!! Republicans didn't lose the '06 and '08 elections because of being conservative, they lost because they ignored their conservative financial values(OT is right on that one) and the conservative base didn't get out and vote.

Robert Mac, You asked for a mainstream media source and I gave you one. I would have to agree that the Republican conservative base probably didn't vote. My question is why in the Presidential Primary didn't this base unify to have someone besides McCain run? No the Republicans aren't dead but they are in disarray but you gotta be down before you can get up. But also I am not so sure the extremes of either party can win an election. To win, GENERALLY you need to be pretty close to the center. JMHO

I don't know about having to be close to the center to win, TSR. We just elected the farthest left individual available in Washington over a Republican that was so "in the center" that most Republicans labeled him a liberal. The guy closest to the center lost the last election.
