copy and paste

I know that copy/paste is the simplest way to do a transfer, but?
I keep seeing alot of dialog boxes with previous post in them that contain who said it followed by the dialog box.
How is this done?
The reason I ask this in political bull is this is where most of it is done :)

I assume you mean the box that your comment now appears in? I did that by clicking on the "Quote" box in the upper right hand corner of your post. You can keep this response and reply by now clicking on the "quote" box in the upper right hand corner of my post. Just be sure your response is after the last [/quote] on the screen.

I can edit your quoted comments as I did by highlighting and hitting the "B"old button.

To paste cut data into a thread, hit the "Quote" button, paste in your data, then hit the Quote* button to close the quote.
