Big Donors Swamp Small Donors

There is a myth that many small donors to a political campaign are more important than a few big ones. Maybe it was true in the past but is not true any more. This year, 2.5 million people have donated $200 or less, but all their money combined amounts to only 18% of the funds raised. In fact, the top 0.07% of the donors gave more than the bottom 86%. The top 2100 donors gave a total of $200 million so far and we have 3 months to go. And none of this includes the secret donors to superPACs. It is a safe bet that many of the large donors want something specific in return for their generosity.

Correct. Everyone wants Buckwheat to go. Except the ones with their hands out.

Funny you say the word "Buy" though. I have not had one offer for my vote.

How stupid are you?

Make a little side bet right now, of every potential voter, the ones with the most to gain from a Obama win are the ones drawing a gov't check of some sort, the working man is and has been tired of the free riders (per queen nancy's mouth) .
The one drawing that check is going to to be either too busy, too tired, too stoned, or just too dang lazy to get to the poll unless he can get a ballot mailed, handed , or get his buddy to vote in his place, and you think that ain't gonna happen. If you ain't got a job, don't plan to get one, well going to vote isn't very important.

WASHINGTON -- Actor George Clooney is offering more help to President Barack Obama's re-election campaign by headlining a European fundraiser this summer for Americans living abroad.

An invitation posted on Obama's campaign website says Clooney will be the special guest at an Obama fundraiser in Geneva, Switzerland, on Aug. 27.

Tickets start at $1,000 per person, and dinner for two costs a cool $30,000.

Clooney held a gala fundraiser at his Los Angeles home in May that raised nearly $15 million. He typically spends time during the summer at his villa on Italy's Lake Como.

Obama's campaign has held fundraising events overseas to raise money from U.S. citizens living abroad.

Obama Turning to Overseas Fundraisers for Campaign Cash – Even to Communist China!

It’s going to be a very busy month for the Obama Campaign.

Fundraisers are scheduled in Switzerland, Sweden, Paris, and Communist China, some of which are commanding “donations” of as much as $30,000 per couple for the Big O’s presidential campaign.

Of course, Obama is busy scathingly accusing presumed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney of “outsourcing” jobs rather than hiring Americans.

Seems like Obama is outsourcing his entire political campaign to the overseas socialists, rather than depending upon the support of real Americans.

Remember when Bill Clinton got caught red-handed taking huge campaign donations from Buddhist monks who were supposedly under vows of “poverty”?

All of those foreign donations should make you wonder what Obama has planned for America in a second term.

Of course, critics will say that only Americans abroad can donate to these overseas campaigns. Uh, huh. I guess we’ve all forgotten about the multitudes of foreign campaign donations Obama received (see here and here and here) from Arab nationals during his first campaign for president.

And if you don't think Obama will not be illegally collecting from FOREIGNORS while in thoses foreign countries THINK AGAIN he got caught taking foreign money in 2007. He got caught again in 2012 taking money from MEXICAN FELONS and had to return it. So don't even bother thinking he will not try slip it by the voters he is taking millions from foreignor since his domestic donations are down and his campaign spending is resembling his Administrations spend. WAY MORE THAN HE IS TAKING IN.

Tam, you're forgetting about all the money that obama is funneling into "big business"

LAS VEGAS — As U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid prepares to host his fifth annual National Clean Energy Summit on Aug. 7, a Nevada Journal examination of Nevada’s renewable energy sector shows that over $1.3 billion in federal funds funneled into geothermal, solar and wind projects since 2009 has yielded and is projected to yield just 288 permanent, full-time jobs.

That’s an initial cost of over $4.6 million per job.

I wonder who got the $4.6 million per job? No doubt the middle class.

McCain Couldn't Compete With Obama's Money

If money talks, we'll likely soon hear the real reason why Barack Obama beat John McCain. Both men and the national parties will report to the Federal Election Commission today how much money they raised in October and November. And what the numbers will probably show is that Mr. Obama outspent Mr. McCain by the biggest margin in history, perhaps a quarter of a billion dollars.

Mr. McCain was outspent by wide margins in every battleground state. But it would have been worse for him if RNC Chairman Mike Duncan and Finance Chairman Elliott Broidy hadn't stockpiled funds in 2007 and early 2008. The RNC provided nearly half the funds for the GOP's combined general-election campaign, while the DNC provided less than a tenth of the funds that benefited Mr. Obama.

o diminish criticism, Mr. Obama's campaign spun the storyline that he was being bankrolled by small donors. Michael Malbin, executive director of the Campaign Finance Institute, calls that a "myth." CFI found that Mr. Obama raised money the old fashioned way -- 74% of his funds came from large donors

Mr. Obama's victory marks the death of the campaign finance system.

Rather than showing the success of a new style of post-partisan politics, Mr. Obama's victory may show the enduring truth of the old Chicago Golden Rule: He who has the gold rules.

yep.. whine away.. Obama made his bed.. and now can't afford to sleep in it...

5. John Corzine: Top Obama fundraiser currently under FBI investigation.

the list of sleazy Obama money is to long to list.. and includes dozens of now bankrupt corporations board-members that donated money to Obama in exchange for lucrative loans.. (pay to play)

now back to the felon fugitives family..

8. Alberto and Carlos Cardona: Obama bundlers with ties to a Mexican fugitive accused of attempted assassinations.

Politico:

The Obama campaign will return more than $200,000 in campaign donations from the American relatives of a fugitive Mexican businessman and casino owner, a campaign official said Tuesday.

Obama didn't have to return the money.. Obama could have forfeited it to the government or donated it to charity...

what they don't mention is the $100,000+ Obama kept..
According to a story first reported by The New York Times, Pepe Cardona’s American brothers have suddenly emerged as major Democratic donors — raising and contributing up to $300,000 to the Obama campaign alone, mostly from relatives. The donations put one brother, Alberto Rojas Cardona, in the top bracket of Obama campaign volunteer fundraisers, known as bundlers.

don't you want to know more about the bike?

You as a Dem. want to know all you can about the Repub. bike, but could care less about knowing more about the Democrat bike.

Are you worried about the history of the Dem. bike, or are you willing to ignore all of that and accept it anyway?

The dem bike has free rubber------patches for life, a gov't mandated helmet, shin, knee, toe guards, a padded seat to prevent injury, a lifetime replacement guarantee for any defect caused by a non union worker, a subsidy for wear and tear on the shoes of the rider, a non compete clause to prevent any American manufacture of a competing model, especially from a shop in a right to work state, and a pension that allows the rider to retire at 33 years of age at a 100 percent retirement package that the government can tax at1000 percent on your death, along with the titanium screw in your left ankle that was not taxed via Obama care in 2014.
Dang, need me one of them there bikes

Go for the Republican bike, it is free of a government kill joy telling you where when and how you are allowed to ride said bike. The rules are you buy the bike you can afford with YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY and ride at YOUR OWN RISK. If you are careless and don't wear a helmet you better be smart enough to buy insurance to cover yourself in case of accident.
If you are lucky enough the Republican government will take your hard earned tax dollars and provide you with a highway to travel unlike the dems that think your tax dollars are better spent paying off campaign donors by bailing out their bankrupt green energy companies and buying votes with food stamps and work free welfare checks.
