These dogs are my wife's project, but...would anyone on here want, or know of anyone else that would want and take care of a registered male Bichon puppy (or 3)? The females sold right away, but for some reason that's what everyone is looking for this time, and no interest in the males that usually sell for $300 and up. So geuss it's time to get the mother dog spayed.

I'd never heard of this breed of dog. Read your post and was curious. They look like poodles. Says they can be shown with a poodle hair cut. but sound a little smaller than poodles.

Wish you luck in findin homes for the lil guys.

A friend of mine had one and they are SOOOOO sweet and good dogs.

They can be a bit high maintenance for some of us who just have " yard dogs'....but for a house puppy they are great. This one was a great guard dog for her kids also.

Actually Bichon are usually larger than the average 10 pound poodle. They are also handscissored into a teddy bear type look, coat is scissored to about 2-3 inches on the body with a huge round head.
Bichons are bred primarily as a companion.
I have seen all types in my day from really sweet lovely pets to land sharks.
The saying if it is small and white, it will most likely bite. Came from encounters with pet store quality Bichons and West Highland White terriers. A good one is a great dog. But like with anything, the badly bred ones need a one way trip to the vet.

I think Jingle Bob is looking for a dog. :)

Weeelll, I'm thinkin' about it and kind'a tryin' to decide what and if, to get, but I'll gauren-damn-tee you, I don't want a house mutt! No offense, but I need somethin' that will listen to me, bite a fightin' cow in the lip and not run the country.

I'm kind of leaning to another border collie. If I can find a good one.

Matter of fact, I kind'a remember Big Muddy sayin' how he wanted to get a nice little house dog, for Tam!
