Cow inventory by state

I saw in my NCBA mag I think where the nations cattle inventory was released by state. I found it interesting to see ND and Ar were about the same as far as cows and heifers that have calved go. The most interesting thing I saw was Montana had more calves born in the state than they had cows and heifers that have calved...??? I guess you guys in Mt. sure do a good job getting them here.

Wasn't too long ago in Montana that they used to hang guys that had more calves than cows! :shock: :lol: :lol: :wink:

Western ranchers are always surprised by all the cows in Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida, Mahsoora, and Mississippi. Alot of that country feeds very little in the winter and runs on 2 or 3 acres.
