Did you hear about the Texas teacher who was helping one of her
kindergarten students put on his cowboy boots?
He asked for help and she could see why.
Even with her pulling & him pushing, the little boots still didn't want
go on. Finally, when the 2nd boot was on, she had worked up a sweat.
She almost cried when the little boy said,
" Teacher, they're on the wrong feet." She looked and sure enough,
It wasn't any easier pulling the boots off than it was putting them on.
She managed to keep her cool as together they worked to get the boots
on, this time on the right feet.
He then announced, " These aren't my boots."
She bit her tongue rather than get right in his face and scream, "Why
didn't you say so?" like she wanted to.
And, once again she struggled to help him pull the ill-fitting boots
his little feet.
As soon as they had removed the boots he said, " They're my
boots. My Mom made me wear'em." Now she didn't know if she should laugh
cry. But, she mustered up what grace and courage
she had left to wrestle the boots on his feet again.
Helping him into his coat, she asked, "Now, -- where are your mittens?"

He said, "I stuffed'em in the toes of my boots."

Her trial starts next month.

REminds me of a story my mother in law told me about hubby....one easter sunday getting ready for church...she's makin him put on his sunday shoes...I"m assuming some kinda loafers.....he's gripin and complainin that they won't fit..n she says...well they fit last week!!!! crammed em on his feet anyway..he whined all durin church....to no avail....then to dinner after church.....to no avail..think he even got swatted a time or two for it.....then finally on the way home she let him take off the shoes.....to find.....that last sunday..she'd stuck his socks in the toes of the shoes......
So that's the kind of kid you were,eh haymaker. Did the teacher have to cuff you often. It is a shame that you still haven't learnd to put your boots on the right feet. :cowboy:
