AHHHHHHH Haymaker, that's your little Appy cross isn't it?
He looks pretty good standing there.

I'm suprised you are using a tie-down with a snaffle bit...and...I can't help but ask...............is that tie-down hooked to a chain curb strap? :???:

If so, that's just not how it's done...for the horses' sake...

One more question-the cowpony races in Texas--are they run with
big saddle bags? Seriously, I know some of those races are run with
different equipment.

It's not a snaffle, straight egg butt, but I really need a curb, just been diggin around finding what I can around here, this little devil dont have the manners I thought he did,tie down stays on till we get better aquainted.
Organized cowpony races around here are sometimes run with full tack, but the ones I was refering to are a few ole geezers with good horses, good flat pasture and a few hundred dollar bills.
good luck

Is that the end of your rifle scabbard i see? Ya'll must sort some mean cattle to go packin' artillery when ya ride pens! I guess if ya lose the pony race you can lay down some lead to get em' duckin as ya take the cash and split! Or maybe ya carry a sortin' stick in the scabbard for thumpin' grumpy sisters when ya work their calves like we do! :D
