Cows not calving on time

Thanks Amo. I'd like to be able to help younger people hoping to be beef producers, if only to cut down on the number of poor eating experiences for beef consumers. May be too much to hope for all producers to get, and USE BQA training so it would have best chance to be both tasty and safe.

BTW, my husband has ties to Holt County. I believe both of his maternal grandparents grew up there. Part of the family has made a 'pilgrimage' down there to see where it was........and wondered why they ever left the area after seeing how beautiful it is and especially how easily available good water was/is! The Berry Bridge was named after the family, we have been told.

USE training? Ive never heard of that. I'm on Facebook. Several different cattle forums there. Lots of opinions. Lots of "pholisphy". Several of them are to promote their breeding programs or their pholisphy if they are "outside of the box". I try to keep an open mind. You also have to have enough common sense to realize whats a good "sales pitch" & what kinda makes sense. I respect grass, organic, non-gmo stuff. As a crop insurance adjuster, I see lots of different operations. Some of the organic guys can raise a heck of a crop. Others you cant tell if their raising soybeans or pig weed! One of my favorite sayings is Don't do it like grandpa did it, yet don't forget why grandpa did it the way he did it.

Sorry to not be clear.....I'm a 'believer' in BQA. I've heard some people take the training, but don't use it, thinking they don't need it. So....capitalized 'use' to emphasize it. Didn't think about that being confusing.......unless that wasn't the case after all.

On another point.....I sure hope we didn't scare off the guy who started the thread. We all may not agree all the time, but it is a pretty good site most of the time......and extremely good often enough to be worthwhile, imo.
