aplusmnt and others seem to continually complain that "liberals" are blaming everything bad that happens in this country on Bush.
So this is the chance for her to put out some of the good things Bush can be credited for. And, of course, how those good things Bush did have helped the country over his seven years.
Personally, I can find a lot of things in my life that are worse than when he took office, but, right off the top of my head, I can't come up with anything that's better.
Interest rates are down, so my income from investments is less. We don't borrow money, so low interest rates aren't helping us out there.
Gasoline prices are about three times as high, making the trips to town fewer.
Food, insurance, fertilizer, grass seed, cow feed, diesel, all cost more. We didn't get much of a tax cut because we're pretty middle income, but the cost of living increases/inflation we've seen under Bush certainly ate up that tax cut.
I don't feel a bit safer than I did when Clinton left office. In fact, I believe we're more at risk because of the bad feelings Bush has stirred up in the Middle East. He certainly hasn't strengthened our borders during his term in office. And our military leaders say the Army is very stressed.
We may be looking at a property tax increase to buy gas for the school buses.
With the firing of US attorneys and stuff coming out about them being used for political purposes, I sure don't have as much confidence in our legal system as I did when Bush took office.
I'll have to ponder a bit more on this. But I'm sure aplusmnt can find some positives to post.
