Another bunch standing out of the wind. This is maybe considered low input ranching,
because at least when they are standing around they aren't eating high priced feed.

You do have a way with words my friend.

The only lower input way is if they die before you can treat them. :)

More good photo's of more good cattle. My Dad lurks here once in a while. He has well over fifty years making a living in the cattle business and said to me the other day how impressed he is with your cattle. Just good functional working cows.

Looking great! :D Your cattle are in nice shape going into this lovely weather. I hope the snow doesn't get too deep, and that it warms back up soon for all of us.

Thank you, I appreciate the compliment. My cousin, JF Ranch, who has posted here some in the past has cows very much like mine. He is selling 500 cows through the Gordon Livestock Auction on Tuesday, December 22, 2009. Most of his cows are Angus and there are a few black baldies. They are top producers, age 2-10, and they are all bred to Charolais bulls. Anyone needing good females may sure want to be on hand for this event.

Yep, I've decided to disperse part of my herd in an effort to trim this operation down to a more managable level. Getting out of debt wouldn't hurt my feelings any either. I'm keeping my bred heifers and oldest cows. I've got some weaning photos of some pretty nice calves that these cows raised this year. If anyone is interested in seeing them or have questions about this dispersal, PM me and I'll email you back.

Good luck with the sale. I hope you get what they are worth. It would be a nice Christmas gift!!!

Good luck with the partial dispersal JF.

Great pics Soap, the stock looks fine, despite the weather.

What kinda dog is that? Blood or coon? Looks alot like the pup I was eye-balling at the neighbours the other day. There was 11 or 12 of 'em running around looking for a new home.

Archimedes is a pure blooded pedigreed Bloodhound. He makes up in personality what he lacks in brilliance.
