This year is another year with an extraordinary amount of Curly-Cup Gumweed showing up in all the pastures... Some years we have almost none- other years it seems really thick...

I guess I was asleep 45 years ago in the weeds and grasses classes as I can't remember learning anything about the stuff - so started researching the internet... And lo and behold- I find that it is a native plant, considered an herb by many, and was used for years by the Indians and pioneers as a medicine- and still used by herbalists and homeopathic healers...Leaves and flowers are supposed to be antiasthmatic, anti- inflammatory, antispasmodic, and as a expectorant and sedative....

They can sure find all the cure-all they want in parts of my pasture this year !
