We got a Valentine's Day card from Peach's cousin and his wife. They have a grandson who is a year and a half old. A lady in a grocery store exclaimed to the small boy, "Oh, you're so cute." The little guy gave her a big dimpled smile and pinched his own cheek. He knew what was coming. :)

I was working yesterday and would not let my 3 yr old have the cordless drill. After telling him no 3 times I lost my patience. As he turned to walk away he shook his head and said "I'll show you old man."

Don't spare the rod, or you might spoil the child.

These are great!  My Brother was working on overhauling a dozer a few years back. He'd taken something apart and had bolts and nuts sitting on the track. He'd went around the cat to keep working and his boy Brady was fiddlin' around with the parts. Brady was a long two year old at the time. Rich told him to quit messing with stuff a couple times and then got after him good the last time. Rich could only see the mid section of his son when he told him to quit. Brady put down the bolt, put his hands on his hips and said..... "I'm just trying to help ya fix this damn thing"!

I might be guilty of a little spoiling. However he is a well behaved child. And when he said this he had a smile om his face and you could see the humor in his eyes. Had he been serious or disrespecful he would have been punished.
I think he comes by his wise-ass humor honest.

Sparky was about seven years old. He was watching his granddad take down the old calendar and put up a new one. Sparky said, "Grandpa, could I have that old calendar?"

My dad explained that there were some nice wildlife pictures on the old calendar, and that he thought he'd keep it as he might try to paint one of the animal pictures at some later time. Sparky said, "You know, if I was a grandfather and my grandson wanted to have that old calendar, I think I'd just let him have it."

Fast forward twenty years. Grandpa still has the calendar, and he hasn't as yet gotten around to painting any of the pictures.

That was funny, Soap. Sparky held his own way back when...

Thanks for the laughs everyone.

The young couple that is leasing our grass have 4 kids. 3 are little boys
and when their dad comes here to feed, the next to the youngest comes with him. I think hes maybe 2 or 2 1/2 and small. This is pretty much John Deere country and they got a good buy on a very nice FWA Case IH RED tractor. This little Nicholas was pretty excited about this tractor, as it was their first one. When he was telling his grandmother (definitely John Deere people) she asked him what color it was. He said, "RED".
She said, "you got a RED tractor?"
And he never missed a beat. He said, "Yes, RED. And it's all ours!!!"

my son was christend with the name of Cory.......but when he was about 4 yrs old I went back into the house to boost him along getting ready, I saw him intent on an old western movie. I have now forgotten the movie, but my son was imitating the Mexican on it and he said as he was puffed up, "my name is Cory, but they call me Chico" ........so it has stuck with him since. I still get a kick out of that memory. These kids are sure worth the trouble........most days
