cute cute......gotta love these kids that can operate electronics. LOL somethin similar happened here today...only not with a 2 year old.

I'd taken Lil Lilly to town to ride, and my cell phone rings........it's my Mother In Law. She'd been gone all day, our son had gone down there numerous times today to let the dogs out. She said.....the TV is on...but there's no picture, just snow...in the background there's this horrible shhhhhhhhshshshshshsshsh noise....She can't get the Satellite to turn on and work. I said..what channel is the TV on? ( hasta be on 4 for it to work) She can't change the channel...can't get the Satellite turned on....etc etc...over and over all the time that noise......I finally said.....MUTE THE TV!......."oh I didnt think about that" so..we proceed with instructions on how to get it on Satellite.

Oh I failed to mention that the TV was off when she left for work this mornin. The remote was on the couch...so was the dog when our son went to let them out. Guess the dog wanted to watch tv. LOL....

Anyway......she was askin me if I could have him come down there when we got back home, so he could fix it for her, when all of a sudden she musta got the right combination of buttons pushed...she said "OH...it's on HSN....." (She's a QVCaholic) I asked, "What's HSN?"
HOME SHOPPIN NETWORK.......I was told.
I quickly told her....try to change the channel..see if that works.

Then...when I finally get home..she's still wantin him to come down there and see if it's all workin. She's on the phone with him, he's tellin me what she's sayin. "I think someone is hidin upstairs".... he asked, "why do you think that?" .......??? he said "well, do you want me to come look?"

"No that's ok...I'll go up there while I"m on the phone with you" she gets upstairs, and the computer is on too. Which wasn't on when she left. No one hidin upstairs tho LOL

I told our son...well maybe the dog got tired of watchin tv, and decided to surf the net too.

We have power surges quite often, but have never ever had anything "turned on". Electricity blinks all the time too......n that makes stuff turn off.

I dunno what it was....but I sure hope my kids or grandkids(when I get some) are close enuff to help me when I get there LOL

Cute story, Mrs. Greg, and yours too Jersey Lilly.
That 2-year old will teaching electronics by the time he is four.

I hope your grandkids are that close too, JL. Mine isn't. :cry2:

Our tv is in an entertainment center that has a electric fireplace beneath it. When the power goes off and it comes back on, so does the electric fireplace!!! You'll come in and there it is, just burning away...

Say, you electricians...one of the light switches gets really hot on the wall when the light is on. What does that mean?
