Just found out that our neighbors lost their house to fire last night-some other friends we rodeo with furthur south lost theirs just a week ago. Kind of makes ones own trials and tribulations seem pretty trivial.

Sure sorry to hear about your friends' houses. I hope their insurance (if they had any) will help ''em get on their feet....of course it can't replace the un-replaceable stuff.

Sad to hear NR. Was it electrical or vandal-assisted? We've had a few cases of vandalism and some arson around the county this summer. Frustrating to find out that people are to blame for some of this stuff, when you know full well they'll get a slap on the wrist at best.

That's too bad. The worst is that it is always a "home fire" and never just a house fire.
Was it your right close neighbours?

They aren't right across the road but the Dad grew up two miles from us-if any of you team rope Quinn has probably took some money off you over the years-it sounds like it was a close call-the family cat didn't even get out. Did the firedrill with the girls last night. Thinking back there's been three houses burn up within three miles of us over the years

Friend of mine lost her big hip roof barn Saturday night. Only lost one calf and some cats and lots of tack. Allot of it was her late husband and that is what's bothering her the most. :(
