dang cold weather

42 degrees this morning,I gotta put on extra carhartts,with the dang north wind howlin 15Mph,makes it hard to stay outside :mad:

Let me know when you see those geese flyin north Lilly,thats when I start plowin,with all the rain we have had maybe we make a lil hay this year :D

Poor guy. :) We would consider that a January thaw, and it would be cause for celebration. The only trouble, that would hardly be enough breeze to keep the windmills turning to pump water for the cattle. :wink:

42 is a heat wave I thought you going to say that is 42 below now that is cold. We were a -1 this morning with a slight breeze. the chore tractor did not want to start but did after the putting booster cables to it.

Well those geese are going to have some pretty hard landings on the ponds if they get this far north- about 2 foot of ice on most....

That ice will be meltin soon,grass will green and the geese will be wingin North and old hay maker will be makin hay,always got a strange feeling when i see those geese wingin North,usually hear em before i can spot them circlin then form that "V" they say its an old hen goose that is the leader...............takin them home.

Would be interesting to make a note of when they go through your area to when they show up here! (northern Alberta) I believe that's true about the "lead hen" When geese make their V to travel do you know why one side of the V is alway's longer than the other??

Another canucklehead with a sense of humor huh...................why is one V longer than the other.............I might not have much book learnin,but I reckon I can tell long from short.

Sorry for the poke, I just got ta feelin sorry for BMR and thought I should help out.(it has been noted having my help is kinda like losing 2 or 3 good hand's though LOL)

eh..........well I sorta feel sorry for the old ugly devil myself sometimes,rumor has it that when he was a kid his mama took him ever where she went so she wouldnt hafta kiss him goodbye :D
