Daschle Withdraws

It was announced on Fox too

Two nominees in one day doesn't look good for Obama's judgement or his vetting process does it.

To bad Geithner didn't have the same character to do the right thing

Fox just said Daschle was using his influence with Obama to get the guy that provide him with the car and driver to the turn of $128,000 a high profile seat in the Obama Admin.

No red flags there

That's what makes me believe Daschle made the decision, and not Obama. If Obama had the integrety to ask Daschle to step down, he would have asked Geithner the same.

Maybe Daschle being one of Obama's mentors, there were things that would come out if the media kept pushing, that Obama did not want to be heard?

Once you get caught, you grow a conscious in an awful hurry, it seems!

He should be in jail. You or I would be.

The least we would be is indicted for signing a false tax return.

Why is it the Nominee's responsibility to admit they don't meet the ethical standards set by the President, and stand down?

Shouldn't the President enforce his own standards, and be responsible for them himself? If he doesn't, what does that say about him and his integrety?

Only reason he is stepping down is because of Piranhas like us! You can be sure that if it was left up to Liberals like yourself he and others like him would have no problem getting appointed! Now quit being sore looser it does not look good on you!

Remember those rightwingnuts, that were asking the questions, that CNN, MSNBC, and all the others are asking now?

All Gibbs can keep saying is that "President Obama is confident with the vetting process"

Wonder if Daschle will ask the IRS for his paid taxes back since he paid them only because he was nominated?

I'd bet Obama can pull some strings with Geithner..................

Nonobody when is the guilt going to fall at the door it deserves to fall at which is OBAMA's. He nominated these people and he is the one supporting them even though he knew there were tax problems. It is time people start questioning OBAMA"S judgement when he appointed a TAX CHEAT to run the IRS. :x
