what I have seen so far portrayed on the news is a white uniformed officer with his gun drawn..

the reality is the black detective had brandished his gun to the crowd and the uniformed officers were responding to a 9-11 call of a man ranting with a gun... I feel the uniformed officers responded as trained and despite a vulgar mob, handled the situation well, except that the detective who had his gun out, should have been escorted or ordered away from the scene by the senior officer on duty.

I just wonder when will the news start reporting the truth? not their white acts bad agenda...

if you can deal with a bit of vulgarity **Update3** shows what officers in our capital face daily..

The man that was reported with the gun in the 911 call was the detective. Do they not have better communication than this?

the detective brandishing the gun was "off Duty" and appears to be radioing in a snowball fight. while you hear the kids phoning in to 9-11 a man with a gun ranting and acting irrational...

given that little info, the dispatchers may have focused on getting officers to the scene t to stop the ranting irrational man brandishing a gun... and ignored a detective radioing in a snowball fight
