Dead cow tests positive for mad cow disease in Hokkaido
SAPPORO, June 28 KYODO
The Hokkaido prefectural government said Thursday that a dead cow has tested positive for mad cow disease.
The dead cow will be sent to the National Institute of Animal Health in Saitama Prefecture for a final test to confirm whether the animal was infected with the disease, known as bovine spongiform encephalopathy.
