Everybody rallied and supported the war effort back then. People sure are different now a days. :???:
Can you imagine the public outrage if our soldiers killed somebody :???:

People supported the WWII effort because we were at war with a country that attacked us (Japan) and those who declared war on us (Germany and Italy). Iraq neither attacked us nor declared war on us. Bush chose to invade a small, soverign country for his own purposes. We've seen there are no WMDs. We've seen the Iraqis aren't greatful. We've seen they don't want a democratic country. We've seen they're not our friends. Afghanistan, the country who sheltered Osama, is slipping away and we can't do much about it because we're so tied down in Iraq. The entire country is paying the price for Bush's personal vendetta with Saddam. According to the Saudi King, the entire region is a powder keg, waiting for a match.

Where was you and your kind during Kosovo?
Bill Clinton and Canada went in there to get regime change. Bombed hell out of civilains and nobody cares. They even called it humanatarian bombing!!!!
By by God almighty when republicans send the soldiers into combat suddenly everything is different, everything is questioned, everything is under scrutiny. Friggen democrats turned this into a political issue as fast as they could because they figgure that whatevers bad for America is good or their party.
BTW I dont think the war is lost in Iraq. I wouldnt even besurprised if the cival war in the region was started by and funded by your government. If this is played right it could be the best thing that ever happened over there.

The Kosovo operation was a humanitarian mission. If I remember right, it was a UN (world wide) sanctioned operation. Bush's incursion into Iraq was not and is not. Unlike Iraq, our president didn't have a personal vendetta with the bosses in Kosovo. Bush wanted Saddam from the day he stepped into office. His first Sec of Treasury said at the first cabinet meeting of his administration the Bush Bunch talked about overthrowing Saddam! He used the worst attack this country has sustained on our homeland as an excuse to settle his own personal "score". The fact that tens of thousands are dead and billions of our dollars are gone..... Hey, don't sweat the small stuff. Bush is rich. His daughters are safe and sound with secret service protection.

Some Democrats voted to go into Iraq, too. War is always a politicial issue. No one has used the war more for their own politicial puproses than the Bush Administration and Republicans up for re-election in 2004. The problem arose in 2006 when the American public as I said they would had turned their back on the war and voted the Republicans out. The Republicans didn't pick up a single Democratic seat in the election last month. Not one. That's practically unheard of!

George W. Bush is responsible for the civil war going on in Iraq. You're exactly right. My tax dollars are being spent trying to keep Iraqis from killing each other.

If you don't think the war is lost, you're in a minority. I saw an AF general on TV a while ago. He was in the meeting with Bush yesterday. He said if he were president, he'd adopt every recommendation by the Iraqi Study Group, not because they were good suggestions or would work, but because the war is lost and we need a way out. Those recommendations would give Bush cover for getting out. That was the opinion of a guy who actually sat in a meeting with the President of the US. I'll post the latest poll about Iraq, too. You may find it interesting reading.

Hey, I wrote a letter to Bill Clinton to get us into there. World Wars were started in that region and we don't need that to happen again!!
