I have a conflict this year- the annual Mennonite Community German Schmeckfest is the same night as we have a Bull Riding- and they are 60 miles apart :?

I was just reading over some of the Schmeckfest menu preview:
Wurst (Sausege Patties)
Rind Flasesch (Roast Beef)
Verenika (Cheese Pockets)
Pigs in a blanket (Cabbage rolls)
Baked Kraut (Cabbage & Bacaon)
Henna Souppe (Chicken noodle soup)
Grune Bohnen Soupe (Green Bean soup)
Kirche Moos (Cherry Sauce)
Pluma Moos (Dried Fruit Sauce)
Zwiebeck (Double Rolls)
Rull Kuchen (Crullers)
Portzilk (New Years Cookies)
Perishke (Fruit Pockets)
Paepa Naet ( Peppernuts, White & Spicy)

Love that old German food and all the different sauseges- but can't miss the bullriding...The clown traveled with my "adopted son" for awhile- so need to go see him and all these young bulls buck...Even all the kids will be home for it...
Be better for my cholesterol anyway

my wife is from Russian / German Mennonite heritage.....that list of food is a pretty good example of a family gathering on her side......

top it off with a pecan pie, and a football game.....and this fat boy is in Heaven!
