Deep Freezer

Here a few months ago, MIL's deep freezer "went out". Or so she thought. It was less than a year old. Big upright. Well....we went down to their house and helped them move it out onto the back deck. And she told us..if ya'll want it, you can have it. I figured not much could be wrong with it, have it repaired and use it. Well..Mr Lilly took it in Tuesday....and called the repair place today to see what they'd found out.
Seems there's a switch on the inside somewhere....that goes from Freeze, to Test. It has an alarm on it, in case it gets switched...makes a buzzin noise. LOL Well that's what it was doin when MIL called for us to come get it outta her house, cuz she was gonna just go buy a new one.

Haha...only thing wrong was the switch was moved to "TEST" and it was buzzin. It's been workin perfectly fine the whole time the repair place has had it. So......Mr Lilly will go pick it up Monday, and we'll bring it home and start usin it. He said....."I don't think I wanna tell mom what was wrong with it" LOL Or....."I guess we could tell her, It had a bad switch placement"

Now ole "Ugly" aka "the Rug" can go to the packers....and I can get my rug made :D

One of our freezers has the buzzer to warn when the temp. goes down also. However if someone unplugs the freezer and forgets to plug it back in the buzzer does no good. Not that anyone on this place would know for sure......

Our old freezer was going. Told the husband that something was wrong that it was not staying cold. Famous spouse response,'Nothing is wrong with it."
Well it died with half a beef and 2 lambs in it.
Can we say hopping mad.
I think it was bought back in the 70's or 80's so we got our use out of it. Repair shop couldn't fix it. :(

I sure miss all the storage space we had with the old one compared to these new ones.
