Question : What is the truest definition of Globalization?

Answer : Princess Diana's death.

Question : How come?

Answer :

An English princess with
an Egyptian boyfriend
crashes in a French tunnel, driving a
German car
with a Dutch engine,
driven by a Belgian
who was drunk
on Scottish whiskey,
(check the bottle before you change the spelling),

followed closely by Italian Paparazzi,
on Japanese motorcycles;
treated by an American doctor, using
Brazilian medicines.

This is sent to you by
a Canadian,
using Bill Gates's technology,
and you're probably reading this on your computer,
that uses Taiwanese chips, and a
Korean monitor,
assembled by Bangladeshi workers
in a Singapore plant,
transported by Indian lorry-drivers,
hijacked by Indonesians ,
unloaded by Sicilian longshoremen,
and trucked to you by Mexican illegals.....

That, my friends, is Globalization !

This will be the Thanksgiving Dinner of our Grandkids if we keep letting Globalism have a free run...

You are really getting to be a gloom and doomer, aren't you, Oldtimer?

Don't listen to so much news. It is starting to get you down. Look at the bright side. That is what my wife and son keep telling me, when I happen to mention how dry it is in our part of the country. :wink:

Soapweed, you aren't one of those "doom and gloom" kinda guys, are you? Say it isn't so! :) I put up with two of them every day, and it's starting to wear a little thin already.
I'm with your wife and son, there's always a bright side, you just gotta look for it.

I think its the 2 solid months of 100 degree temps making me grumpy...And now the smokey dreary air...Cutting some dryland hayfields that had gotten hailed out-- and its pretty much hunt for areas to cut :( ....This heat didn't let any of the grass come back after the hailstorm- so its pretty sparce-- and dryer than a popcorn fart...
