Some of the speakers at the Democratic National Convention are now known:

- Monday, Aug. 25: Michelle Obama
- Tuesday, Aug. 26: Hillary Clinton
- Wednesday, Aug. 27: Bill Clinton and the VP candidate
- Thursday, Aug. 28: Barack Obama
Monday through Wednesday will be at the Pepsi center; Thursday will at at the Denver Broncos' stadium. The Pepsi center seats 20,000; the stadium seats 75,000, slightly smaller than the 80,000-seat Los Angeles Colliseum, which John Kennedy used for his acceptance speech in 1960.

The news today is reporting that of the 75,000 tickets to get into the Denver Broncos stadium for Obama's speech- they were all gone in hours...And there are over 20,000 on the waiting list...

Now some have them up for sale on E-Bay and the other trader sites- and the current bid on E-Bay is up to $1200 per ticket....

Old Dobson's outfit is up to its normal habits- tying religion into politics...But I think this has gone a little overboard on what you should be asking God for!!!!
Most don't know that the old faker is no more a "reverend" than I am as far as education goes- as the only formal education he has is in Child Psychology/Development....But putting yourself out as being a "reverend" is more financially beneficial..... :(

I wonder what the good "reverend" thinks of his parties chosen champions past bed hopping practices :???:

Focus On Family Pulls Controversial Obama 'Rain' Video
Video Had Asked Prayers For 'Rain Of Biblical Proportions'

DENVER -- Focus on the Family Action has pulled a video from its Web site that had asked people to pray for "rain of biblical proportions" during Sen. Barack Obama's acceptance speech at Invesco Field on Aug. 28.

The political arm of Focus on the Family pulled the video Monday after a number of complaints from Focus members.

Stuart Shepard, the director of digital media for the group, wrote and starred in the video that he described as "mildly humorous."

In the video, Shepard called for Christians to pray for "abundant, torrential" rains during the Democratic nominee's acceptance speech in order to disrupt it. He had asked Christians to pray for rain that would create flash flood warnings and "swamp the intersections."

In the video, Shepard said he hoped the rain would start "two minutes before the acceptance speech begins."

"I'm still pro life, and I'm still in favor of marriage as being between one man and one woman," Shepard said in his video. "And I would like the next president who will select justices for the next Supreme Court to agree."

I think they need to put a windfall tax on those scalpers! Those are obscene profits!

Yeah after all the price of those tickets affects nearly all Americans.

OK, I wasn’t real clear on the rationale behind a windfall profits theft, er, tax. As long as the industry that you’re in has a national footprint, then it’s OK for the government to confiscate your legally obtained profits and distribute them to the unfortunate down-trodden masses. I see how that works now.

Why do I get this vision of a beaming Karl Marx standing above an aghast Thomas Jefferson?
