During remarks to Tsongas supporters, Pelosi stressed Tsongas' commitment to withdrawal of troops from Iraq. "The biggest ethical challenge we have before us is the war in Iraq," she said. "That's why we need Niki Tsongas." She also said the election was "a referendum" on the administration of President George W. Bush.

Tsongas supports a timetable for troop withdrawal. Ogonowski says the invasion of Iraq was wrong, but believes American troops must remain in that country until it is stabilized.

Even with Democrats in control of Congress, no timetable for troop withdrawal has been set. "This is a big fight for us," Pelosi said at the fundraiser. "I'm disappointed myself."

Progressive Democrats of America

Progressive Democrats of America was founded in 2004 to transform the Democratic Party and our country. We seek to build a party and government controlled by citizens, not corporate elites-with policies that serve the broad public interest, not just private interests. As a grassroots PAC operating inside the Democratic Party, and outside in movements for peace and justice, PDA played a key role in the stunning electoral victories of November 2006 and 2008. Our inside/outside strategy is guided by the belief that a lasting majority will require a revitalized Democratic Party built on firm progressive principles.

For over two decades, the party declined as its leadership listened more to the voices of corporations than those of Americans. PDA strives to rebuild the Democratic Party from the bottom up-from every congressional district to statewide party structures to the corridors of power in Washington, where we work arm in arm with the Congressional Progressive Caucus. In just a couple of years PDA and its allies have shaken up the political status-quo on issues from ending the Iraq war, voter rights, protecting Social Security, a full employment economy, national healthcare and economic justice.

Clinton tells Ky. Democrats that Bush mismanaging war
LOUISVILLE (AP) — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton accused President Bush of mismanaging the Iraq war and claimed his domestic agenda has taken the country off course in a speech Friday night to Democrats in a state that solidly backed the Republican president last year.

About 2,000 people cheered the New York senator as she accused Bush of ignoring an ailing health care system and rewarding tax cuts to the wealthy while piling up deficits.

Clinton headlined a party fundraiser that brought in $600,000 for Kentucky candidates as Democrats try to reverse gains by Republicans, who hold the governor's mansion and all but one of the state's congressional seats.

Clinton, who is running for re-election next year and is considered a possible presidential candidate in 2008, targeted the president's handling of the war for some of her sharpest criticism.

"The time has come for the administration to stop serving up platitudes and present a plan for finishing this war with success and honor," she said. "I reject a rigid timetable that the terrorists can exploit, and I reject an open timetable that has no ending attached to it.

"Instead, I think we need a plan for winning and concluding this war, and the president can begin by taking responsibilities for the false assurances, faulty evidence and mismanagement of this war."

She also called on Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney "to stop impugning the patriotism of their critics."

The former first lady received several standing ovations from the party stalwarts

Children died and the Democrats fund raised
Soldiers died and the Democrats fund raised
Ambassador died and Obama went fund raising.

And the Dems have the gall to point fingers at the GOP's Benghazi Special Committee as a means to fund raise.

And Pelosi claims the Benghazi Families are asking to not have the Special Committee. :?

Letter Demanding Select Committee to Investigate Benghazi Targets House Speaker Boehner and Intelligence Committee Chair Rogers

January 19, 2014 • 9:36AM

A letter written by Judicial Watch and signed by family members of two of the Americans killed in the attack on Benghazi, Charles Woods, father of Ty Woods, Pat Smith, mother of Sean Smith, and Michael Ingmire, musician/writer, uncle to Sean Smith, demands that Speaker of the House, John Boehner stop blocking the creation of a Select Committee to Investigate Benghazi.

I'm guessing Pelosi could careless about Pat Smith and Charles Woods feelings about wanting the truth about the deaths of their loved ones. To her it is all about the Doherty family that just happens to support Obama and Hillary politically. And If the Dems did not want this to become POLITICAL then they should not have lied to protect their political rhetoric/azzes in the 2012 election cycle.

It is time the TRUTH gets out and if that means hauling Hillary back to the Hill kicking and screaming to make her admit her incompetence lead to those deaths SO BE IT. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH with the Obama/Clinton's lying.
