Who is that masked man?

Do you know any cattlemen in Harrison by the name of Reiley? I believe the first name may be Eric. They were inquiring about Tarentaise cattle a while back. Just noticed you were from there.

Can't say I know anyone by that name. Let me think on it . How old of a fella was he , do you know? Were they in the seedstock business currently? You took a joke well Schnubert. Better than most democrats here.

Really don't know how old he would be. Was contacted by our association with his e-mail add. that he was looking for breed colored Tarentaise cattle and I am about the closest breeder to Harrison. Wrote him but no response. Was just curious. Just don't call me Schnubert and we will get along fine. ;-)

Breed color means the standard color for the breed. No black hide nor red noses. The standard is light to dark red with black highlights (around eyes and ears, nose, and switch) The bulls will go from dark red on necks to almost black as they age. Examples;
Nine year old cow
Illini_Nicole.jpg

Coming two yr old heifer
Illini_Rebecca.jpg

Four yr old herd bull

That looks like it's at Denver but I don't remember him having a booth there. Where was the pic taken? When to the tater tots go on the hill at Denver? You going?

This was indeed in Denver two years ago (Jan 05). He was been there for sure in 04 and 05. Think he was there last year also but not at the time I was there. Last year, when this pic was taken, he was upstairs in the childrens area. I'm sorry but I don't know what the "tater tots" are. Yes, I am leaving for Denver this Wed morning. Unfortunately, the ATA assoc. is undergoing some transition problems and we aren't having a show there this year. We are having our annual membership meeting but no cattle. Do you show? What and when?

No, I'm not a simpleton for sure but am a card carrying registered Democrat. Schnurrbart is German for moustache so what else could be my nickname?

Thanks Schnurrbart--my partners brother bought a bunch down in Wyoming and they were really some good producing old cows-- and I do mean old-- as he kept some around so long that they were old enough to vote and they were still bringing in good calves.....

Some of those he has have almost had a tiger striping color to them with the dark areas....

I have a couple that came out of a purebred TA bull and a black 50-50 TA and Chi cow who are a deep cherry red and blackish color that have a faint stripe also. I'm sure that comes from crossbreeding. My oldest one is 14 and had a nice little heifer this past spring.

Well, they are bigger and milk better than a Jersey but I have had others who don't know much ask where I got the Jerseys.
