Pandering to white "Guilt" doesn't sway my vote.
Mine either, Mike. I've never owned a slave or held back a black person from excelling in life and I bet you haven't either. We don't have anything to feel guilty about.
But I think that white "guilt" you talk about is what was responsible for a lot of Obama's early popularity. It made touchy-feely libs FEEL good to think that they could support a black man. They could finally prove to themselves that they weren't racists - as if they even needed to prove anything.
Now that Reverend Wright and others have exposed the truth - that many blacks weren't going to be satisfied with equality, but instead want to GET EVEN with whitey - some of those libs are even starting to desert the ship. Gotta love it.
