Did he just forget what he said?

Following are just a few campaign promises of Barry's. Consider how many of these promises that he's broken out of the chute in his first month in office on his spending bill. It looks to me like every damn one.

"Sunlight is the greatest disinfectant. And as President, I'm gonna make it impossible for Congressmen or lobbyists to slip pork barrel projects or corporate welfare into laws when no one is looking, because when I'm President, meetings where laws are written will be more open to the public, no more secrecy, that's a commitment I make to you as President.

No more secrecy

And, when there's a bill that lands on my desk as President, you the public, will have five days to look online and find out what's in it before I sign it so that you know what your governments doing.

When there are meetings between lobbyists and a government agency, we'll put as many of those meetings as possible on line for every American to watch.

When there's a tax bill being debated in Congress, you will know the names of the corporations that would benefit and how much money they would get. And we will put every corporate tax break and every pork barrel on line for every American to see, you will know who asked for them and you can decide whether your representative is actually representing you."

And I've been chastised for calling this clown a compulsive liar? What's the excuse, libs?

Those are all legitimate concerns that Sandhusker lists. I support Obama and I share some of them.

I doubt that you will be accused of racism.

See how that works?

If a conservative doesn't write a bunch of xenophobic, racist, sexist, or homophobic blather, people who know better don't jump criticize it?

Now "wingnut" is more in the eye of the beholder. But I don't see much evidence of that either in this particular post. Notice that it didn't even mention a birth certificate.

See how that works.

Simple.

But if you all want to act like a bunch of unfairly-accused online martyrs, I'm sure someone can find a pile of stones somewhere.

I wouldn't call them "concerns", I would call them "lies". The man is a compusive liar, these are just a few in a long line.

I do have concerns, though. I'm concerned that the libs will never hold this guy accountable and will allow this country to be pied pipered over a cliff.

If Read my lips comment could bring down Old Bush surely Americans will respond in the same way to Obama for breaking his promise.

And he broke it on the largest spending bill in the history of the world, that is a pretty big lie! If he will break his word on such a momentous bill, no telling how many small ones he will break it on!

You forget- he said in "normal and nonemergency" situations-- and even your chosen Champion of Old has said this is not normal circumstances and without immediate action by Congress, America could slip into a financial panic and a distressing scenario would unfold...

So you folks don't think GW was telling the truth about the Bush Bust :???:

"Our entire economy is in danger," Bush said, urging Congress to take quick action and outlining his rationale for the bailout.

Failing to pass a rescue plan, Bush said, would create the risk of a "long and painful recession" -- meaning more foreclosures, lost jobs, declining home values, business failures, stock losses and difficulty getting loans.

"I'm a strong believer in free enterprise, so my natural instinct is to avoid government intervention," Bush said. "I believe companies that make bad decisions should be allowed to go out of business. Under normal circumstances, I would have followed this course.

"But these are not normal circumstances," he added. "The market is not functioning properly. There has been a widespread loss of confidence, and major sectors of America's financial system are at risk of shutting down. The government's top economic experts warn that without immediate action by Congress, America could slip into a financial panic and a distressing scenario would unfold."

If it was such an emergency then why did it take like 4 days for him to sign it? Why was he playing basketball instead of signing the Bill ASAP?

Much of the spending in it is long term spending, there was time for it to be vetted to the public and for congress to read.

It ought to be a felony and cause for dismissal if a congressman votes on a bill that he did not read. It should be grounds for dismissal, and the democrats did not even allow enough time for it to be possible to read it.

The passing of this spending bill is one of the worst things ever done by a United States Congress! And anyone that tries to spin it is being partisan!

Ps. Yes Bush was wrong also!

If they had posted it on the website, and waited a day, at least he would have kept one promise!

Did he buy the girls their puppy yet?

That smells of one of your stories!

You are just kool aid drinking! No bill that massive should ever be passed with no one reading it! Anyone that signed it or voted for it should be removed for malpractice and banned from ever holding a political office!

You can not put that kind of debt on future generations with out taking the time to read it! And anyone that's says differently is an absolute idiot! No reasonable person could or should argue that point!

Obama did NOT say anything about different situations when he was lying, er, making campaign promises.

Can you even imagine him not signing it when he has been jetsetting all over the country scareing the s*** out of people with what would happen if the package didn't pass like yesterday. Count on it this idiot will not read the bill before he signs it. IF it works it will be all his baby. IF it fails he will toss Pelosi and Reid under the bus and move on.
