I can handle lows in the 50's as long as it warms up durin the day

We had a heck of a wind this afternoon. from the southwest. Lots of clouds blowin in off the gulf. But they were a good thang, cuz they made shade while I was ridin the tractor.

I been tellin Mr Lilly that we need to talk the fella that owns that tractor into buyin one of them lil canopy umbrella lookin lil tops. But.....I'd prolly drag it off under a tree or somethin LOL I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel on this shreddin job. Today....I found a slough. Didn't get stuck, but got mud on the tires and had to make that tractor hump up and git outta there. I know good'n well three days ago it was dry as a bone LOL

As for them woolies.....just make sure ya don't git em wet. Uhgggg I bet they stank to high heaven when they are soggy.

If its cold enough that you need woolies- I think I'll be down and look up Ol Elmo and he can introduce me around Senorita land
They are predicting a possible snowstorm here around the 31st of the month (just when everyone is shipping  )... But I need to be able to graze til in January or I'll be running out of haystack..

Well....the cold front made it....and the thermometer has said about 50 degrees...nearly all day long. Mr Lilly said it was prolly 80 degrees when he left for work at 4 am this mornin, but by about 6:30am it had dropped and started rainin. It drizzled most of the mornin, with a good stiff north wind that didnt let up all day long.

Looks like we'll be gatherin firewood this weekend LOL

Been beautiful up here- supposed to be in the 70's for the next couple days, which is great because I been running all over the country working cattle with folks shipping....I see where the weather boys are saying the temps will drop into the 40's and 50's toward the end of the week with a slight chance of snow flurries...Slight chance could be good for a foot of snow

I was going to take a camera with me yesterday when I went into the Missouri breaks to get some pictures-- forgot it again :dunce: After I got there I wish I had taken a couple horses...Some out of staters came into the cow camp- they had shot an elk down on the game range in the bottom of Cabin Coulee the evening before, which was 2 miles from the lake and 4-5 miles from a road...They'd offered some of the cowboys $500 earlier to pack out the elk- but they said they were too busy...They came back and offered to pay whatever it cost  So when I left out there a few cowboys had decided to wait one day working yearlings and make themselves a little beer money.....
