Disease Prevention

With our Govt. buried in the argument about illegall emigration why have they not considered the health aspect. If the pandemic flu jumps the species barrier and becomes a reality all persons entering the US should be able to prove they don't have it with a health certificate or they should be quarenteened for the duration of the incubation period. This has not happened and we have introduced mutant strains of TB into the US that are not curable, thus putting our population at risk. My point is that if we allow people to bring disease into this country with our free borders why is that so much different than bringing in livestock with deadly uncurable diseases? Shouildn't we be just as careful with them? By allowing illegals to cross our border successfully without any health inspections or tests and then stay here, is in my estimation a bigger screw up than all the boondogles USDA has conjured up. Maybe we should start a discussion of the CDC and see if maybe some of these human illnesses like TB and West Nile Virus could have been prevented?

Good question cedardell- And many of these illegals are coming from areas that are quarantined for FMD- packing with them God only knows what contaminated items...

If disease prevention and control (human and animal) is truly one of USDA's concerns as they preach with their M-ID propaganda- then they should be screaming to have our borders secured.....
