What and how people choose to eat is only their business and they may even have medical reasons why they can't eat beef or beef products. Does that mean that they are also not ' worthy' and make then an instant liberal?

What did a veg/vegan every to do you to make you dislike them so? Do you even know any?
I realise this was not directed to me.Yes...I know Vegans, alot are nice enough, its the ones that go on and on about eating poor defencless animals that are a huge pain in the butt. I guess because most of your money doesn't come from the cattle business you don't understand having to fight for your lifestyle. Also I'm REALLY sorry but where in the heck did Hanta EVER say all vegans were liberals?

Oh, I know a few, one of them teaches at the High School, his spouse teaches at the Grade School and they make it quite clear they are vegans. Our CattleWomen group goes into the classrooms every year to promote our product, through positive instruction. These two vegans don't want the CattleWomen organizations in their classrooms. We also take a day close to "Earth Day" and serve "The Perfect Cheeseburger" to the students and teachers. The teachers have to head the line with their class, these two make it a point to say no to a burger.

sw and I also take rumen fluid and microscopes into the 5th and 6th grade classes and show students how a cow is better built to convert cellulose into beef. Humans aren't equipped to do that. We don't have rumens and we don't have those microbes.

Geeezzz Louise!!

FH are you so thin skinned that you get into a hissy just because someone tends to have a veg/vegan way of eating? Lady, you need a job is that's all you got to get upset over!!!!

That's just silly!

I don't care for vegetarians, either. It's not promoting what our livelihood is based on....raising tasty, wholesome beef.

Libbies tend to be tolerant of everything around them. I have a soapbox and I will continue to stand on it.

No one in my fricking family is a vegetarian. Now shut up please and learn to read.

Well EXCUUUUUSE ME. I never said your family had vegans in it.

Gee, there must be something in the air today, for some reason all of our resident liberals are being a little bit touchy about things. For the so called "tolerant " bunch of people they seem pretty intolerant to me. Course, I'm not nearly as smart as they so there is surely something that I missed

Whole thread kind of looks like a bunch of humped up old cats sitting on the fence SCROOOWWLING at each other waiting for the fight to break out....

Good cure for this is to go out on the town-- let down your hair--kick off your boots- dance on the tables/bar- make a little bit of fool of yourself- feel like hell the next day... Makes the rest of the week a whole lot shinier knowing that it has to get better....   :p

And jigs, I am a catholic and I have a son studying to be a priest, so kiss my rosey red. Don't try and tell me that there are no other religions who haven't had scandals. We have to deal with ours and I think it will only make us stronger. You are a bully and a twit. :p

Yes, sw, you did miss something. I politely commented on the interesting article you posted and disregarded the negative posts.
:x sw makes enough good posts without giving him credit for mine. Maybe you've been drinkin' a little too heavy?

OT,...May I add to your great advice.....

"Good cure for this is to go out on the town- have a good Steak- let down your hair--kick off your boots- dance on the tables/bar- make a little bit of fool of yourself- feel like hell the next day... Makes the rest of the week a whole lot shinier knowing that it has to get better....

nothing like a good steak to make the drinking and dancing on the bar a little more energetic.....
