Kind of went over your head there eh quickdraw.

Please explain how you came to that conclusion!
All i did was point out to Mr Schnurrbert that the rubble at Schofield Barracks would not have had nearly the shock value for declaring war as opposed to Ford Island, Hickam, or even Wheeler.
Simple logic dictates that you use the best weapon you have to win any arguement, be it on thiis board or elsewhere.
If you are referring to his statement about Brazil, that is off base as far as using an anolgy.

analogy: similarity in some respects between things otherwise unlike; partial resemblance. 2 an explaining of something by comparing it point by point with something else.

Brazil had nothing to do with the attack on Pearl Harbor[/quote]
No kidding !!

And your point is? The point that he was attempting to get across is?
Am i wrong in wondering what either are you offering in defense of a stupid comment regarding a battle that really wasn't even a battle?

I am coming out of early retirement just to explain to you what my statement meant. I am typing REEAALLLLL slow for you so pay attention. You took the time to look up "analogy" so you at least tried to get the concept. I said what if Japan attacked us and the president invaded Brazil.

OK. With me so far? A bunch of terrorists, the majority of whom were Saudis, attacked us on 911 and bush invaded Iraq. Do you see it now? Do you need it typed slower? Of course, it would have been stupid to attack Brazil instead of Japan after Pearl Harbor just as I and at least 65% of the American public feel it was stupid to attack Iraq when someone attacked us.

Quite honestly, I don't believe that you really are that dumb. I think you are just trying to continue to ridicule and insult liberal thinking people and it didn't work quite as you first envisioned. I'm outa here again.
