Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, announced his proposed budget for fiscal year 2012. Although currently light on details, the news doesn't look so good military retirees who rely on TRICARE. According to reports, Gates has stated that he is seeking modest increases to fees for working-age military retirees who choose to use TRICARE medical programs.
Gates has continuously sought TRICARE fee increases for retirees as means of addressing military health care costs. It appears he is determined to get it done before he leaves office.

I sure would have liked to see a vote on this last October... not now after the election..
