SEC Recommends Fraud Charges Against Countrywide's Mozilo (BAC)

Talk about a fall from grace for 'Oh Tanned One' Angelo Mozilo.

The man who was once lauded as the greatest friend to the homeowner for happily extending credit to anyone with a pulse is looking at possible civil fraud charges from the SEC, reports WSJ.

Mozilo, who sold Countrywide to Bank of America (BAC) before the crisis had fully revved up (brilliant), faces all kinds of legal headaches, including charges of Fraud in Florida.

Among the issues the SEC is concerned with: The timing of Mozilo's stock cash-outs prior to the BofA sale. The SEC may not be good for much, but they sure know how to ding someone for well-time stock sales.

Kind of nice to see an Administration come back that believes in the rule of law- and enforcement of laws- even if its against the Banker/Financial crooks that raped this country during the 8 years of no oversight/enforcement- while they stuffed Godzillions $ in their pockets....

Back to being a pervert huh oldtimer? referring to RAPE again.

You are one sick puppy!!!!
EH?
Rape, also referred to as sexual assault, is an assault by a person involving sexual intercourse with or sexual penetration of another person without that person's consent. Rape is generally considered a serious sex crime, as well as a civil assault.

When is this administration going to tackle the issue of committee chairmen taking bribes from the industry they are to oversee? Aren't there laws about that?

Kind of fits for the other parts of the definititon too-- as its the biggest screwing the country got since Hoovers Great Depression.... :(

You need to go to a bank when the regulators are doing their inspections and tell THEM that the Republicans got all the rules/regulations dropped....

When is this administration going to tackle the issue of committee chairmen taking bribes from the industry they are to oversee? Aren't there laws about that?

Dodds refinancing/loans took place in 2003....Which administration has been in charge of enforcement/oversight for those past 6 years until less than 4 months ago.... :???:

Bush/Repubs did nothing for 5-6 years-- and now you expect Obama to clean it up in less than 4 months....

I too hope the bipartisan 9/11 investigative commision they are talking of creating digs into all nooks and crannies of what- why- and who was involved in the bringing on of this Bush Bust- and hang a bunch of them....

OT, "Dodds refinancing/loans took place in 2003...."

Isn't that same time period that the alleged rape occured?

Have you noticed yet that those raping bankers were heavy contributors to the Obama campaign, one was Clinton's Treasury Secretary and one is Obama's Treasury Secretary now?

And speaking of an adminstration following the rule of law, how does threatening Chrysler bondholders fit in?

If its illegal-- charge them- prosecute them- and punish them.....

But that still doesn't answer why GW threw out all rule of law- or transparency requirements- or oversight- or enforcement- and allowed these folks to profiteer and bring about the Bush Bust....

By the way, Mike, has Chris Dodd ever fully explained his dealings with Countrywide as he promised?

You and the Repubs are screaming for something to be done about Dodd-- but it was your cultist Champion that was in charge of that enforcing- and who did nothing about it all the time he was in office....

That would mean prosecuting Obama himself on his Chrysler threats.

But that still doesn't answer why GW threw out all rule of law- or transparency requirements- or oversight- or enforcement- and allowed these folks to profiteer and bring about the Bush Bust....

That's because he didn't.

Weren't you just saying something about your cultist champion believing in the rule of law? It also seems to me that you have previously mentioned something about "change"? What's stopping him?

What OT doesn't understand is that the person who let Bernie Madoff walk TWICE is now head of the SEC and the new head of FINRA was brought in from the SEC...........It's the same old game....................

Put the same old people in place. yet move them around a little and call it "Change"?

He also doesn't understand that BUSH & Congress created a whole new division of Regulators to watch over Investment Bankers, but all along, he should have built a new entity aimed at guarding the henhouse from foxes like Dodd & Frank.

You need to look up the words you put in bold and then explain how you can use the word rape in context to the bankers and Miss Tam.

They are all violence related!!!!!!!
